Hi everybody. Well What a week, I was out shooting on Sunday afternoon. I bent over to move a dead flower that was in the way of an image I was about to capture. Then BAM I went down. I have suffered with spine problems for years, and all it took was a bend in the wrong direction, and my back went out. I ruptured 3 disks L3,L4,L5,S1 the next thing I remember is riding in the ambulance. The pain was so great I would not wish that on my worst enemy. I underwent emergency neurological surgery as the broken disks penetrated my spinal column. I passed out in pain I wanted to die. Today I am home from hospital, after a lumbar appendectomy where the surgeon wet into y spine and removed the broken disc fragments from from my spinal chord. This doctor is my angel as today I stood up and walked with almost no pain. I am told that I should make a complete recovery in approx 2 more weeks. so 5 min walks at a time with a brace, but I should be better to get back to my passion Photography soon. I am writing this on my wife’s laptop in bed she has also Benn my angel, as this must have put her through hell. I look forward to corresponding with my friends here shortly. As soon as I can I will download those photos the day I broke my back and post one of them. Can't wait to get back online and share photos with you all.
